On November 11, the 2025 “Jiudian Pharmaceutical Scholarship” award ceremony of Xiangtan University was grandly held at the Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Building. Ms. Yang, Human Resources Director of Jiudian Pharmaceutical, Mr. Pei, Dean of the School of Chemistry, Mr. Li, Party Secretary, Ms. Wang, Party Deputy Secretary, Mr. Zhao, Deputy Director of the Education Foundation, along with faculty and student representatives, attended the ceremony. The event not only completed the scholarship awards but also deepened the meaning of school-enterprise cooperation through a career planning lecture, further strengthening the relationship between the university and the company in nurturing talent.

Since its establishment in 2018, the “Jiudian Pharmaceutical Scholarship” has provided financial support to 80 outstanding students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds. This initiative has alleviated their economic burdens and provided strong support for their academic focus and personal growth. According to statistics, 42 of the recipients have continued their studies at the graduate level, excelling in their academic pursuits, while 28 others have entered the workforce and are already making their mark in various industries.

In her speech, Ms. Yang explained Jiudian Pharmaceutical’s commitment to public welfare and educational support. She emphasized that the company always adheres to the corporate spirit of "working together with dedication, innovating for excellence, and achieving mutual success with integrity" as proposed by the chairman, and remains committed to progress alongside society. “We are not only capable but also responsible to give back to society,” Ms. Yang said. “This scholarship is not just financial assistance but a sincere expectation. We hope that students will focus on pursuing knowledge and bravely realize their personal dreams.”

After the ceremony, as a distinguished professor at Xiangtan University, Ms. Yang delivered a special lecture titled “Career Choice Advice for College Students” to the students of the School of Chemistry. Drawing from her extensive career experience, she provided systematic and practical career planning advice, focusing on four key aspects: "choosing an industry, choosing a company, choosing a career, and choosing a boss." She also took the time to offer detailed feedback on students’ resumes and addressed their job-related questions on the spot.

This scholarship award ceremony not only provided financial assistance but also empowered students intellectually and spiritually.
