Recently, Jiudian Pharmaceutical Research Institute invited Mr. Liu from Zhejiang Jieheng Technology to hold a training on preparation microscopic analysis technology in the company's headquarters 622 conference room. The deputy director of Jiudian Pharmaceutical Research Institute and director of the Second Institute of Oral Solid Preparations, deputy director of the First Institute of Oral Preparations, and heads and researchers of relevant departments such as oral solid preparations and topical preparations attended the meeting.
Mr. Liu took the common and thorny problems in drug preparation research such as the lack of original research prescription information, the choice of process and raw material models, and the difficulty in determining the crystal form of low-dose API in preparations as the starting point, and introduced the important application of microscopic technology in this field. He elaborated in detail that modern microscopic analysis technology originated from nano-bionics, and sorted out and outlined the development of microstructure expert systems and preparation microscopic analysis technology.
Subsequently, Mr. Liu combined a number of practical application cases to deeply analyze the wide application of microscopic analysis technology in oral solid preparations and topical preparations. These cases involve the exploration of the addition method of raw and excipients, the accurate judgment of the crystal form and crystal habit of raw materials, the optimization and upgrading of solid preparation processes, the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the coating components of capsule micropellets and enteric-coated tablets, the analysis of the true particle size of API in preparations, the study of the coating method of topical preparations, and the Q2/Q3 study of topical preparations.
At the end of the training, Mr. Liu summarized and emphasized that for simple preparations, the focus can be on component analysis, while for complex preparations, the focus should be on microstructure. At present, preparation microanalysis technology is mainly used in the fields of API in-depth analysis, excipient reverse research, process route analysis, CPP&CQA&CMA microstructure research, failure analysis, etc. This training has laid a solid foundation for the company's technological improvement and innovative development in the field of preparation research, and is expected to promote new breakthroughs and progress in related businesses.
