Abstract
Recently, a founding meeting was held for the Industry-Education Integration Community for the Biopharmaceutical Industry in Central and Southern China, initiated by Jiudian Pharmaceutical, Hunan Chemical Vocational Technology College, and University of South China. Over 100 participants from 71 organizations, including industry enterprises, universities, vocational colleges, and research institutes from across the country, gathered to discuss the integration of industry and education, and to jointly build a new ecosystem for talent development in the biopharmaceutical sector.

The Industry-Education Integration Community for the Biopharmaceutical Industry in Central and Southern China operates under the principles of "equality and voluntariness, market orientation, shared benefits, and mutual cooperation." Its goal is to bring together high-quality resources in the biopharmaceutical field, deepen industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation, and promote precise alignment between the education chain, talent chain, industry chain, and innovation chain. This will improve the quality of vocational skills training and social service capabilities, and help drive high-quality development of the biopharmaceutical industry in the Central and Southern regions.
So far, 71 organizations from 11 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across China have joined the community. This includes 2 research institutions, 40 enterprises, 7 regular universities, and 22 vocational colleges, ensuring a reasonable distribution of member organizations in terms of type, field, and geography. This marks the establishment of the first industry-education integration community for the biopharmaceutical industry in Central and Southern China under the new trend of deepening and innovating the integration of industry and education.
As a key industry chain being promoted in Hunan Province, biopharmaceuticals are accelerating their transition from "scale growth" to "simultaneous improvement in quantity and quality." From January to August, the province’s biopharmaceutical industrial added value increased by 7.6% year-on-year. Five first-class innovative drugs were approved for clinical trials, and one third-class innovative medical device received registration. The province has also established 26 biopharmaceutical industry-focused parks. The Hunan's Pharmaceutical Powerhouse is rapidly rising with the dawn of a new era. The formation of this community will further consolidate biopharmaceutical industry-education resources in Central and Southern China, creating a stronger collective force to drive industrial development.

Ms. Yang, the Human Resources Director of Jiudian Pharmaceutical, represented the company at the meeting. She stated that, as one of the leading enterprises in the community, Jiudian Pharmaceutical will strive to be the "opener" of industrial resources, the "co-educator" of talent development, the "pioneer" in tackling technological challenges, and the "promoter" of ecosystem building. The company will work to help the community play a bridging role, further explore new models of integrated development, and jointly create an industry-education integration ecosystem with complementary resource advantages and mutual benefits. The goal is to effectively integrate high-quality resources from government, industry, academia, and research, ensuring precise alignment between education and industry needs, and creating a synchronized resonance between talent supply and industrial upgrading.
