On October 25th, Professor Xia Xinhua from Hunan University of Chinese Medicine visited Jiudian Pharmaceutical to carry out pharmaceutical training on innovative Chinese medicines research. Relevant personnel from R&D Department of the Drug Research Institute and QC Department and Process Department of Jiudian Production Center participated in the training.
Professor Xia briefly introduced the registration classification of traditional Chinese medicine and the basic procedures for the development and registration of traditional Chinese medicine, and emphasized the importance of topic selection, so that everyone had an overall understanding of the research process of traditional Chinese medicine. Professor Xia also emphasized that the extracts of samples used in toxicological studies need to formulate quality standards and conduct stability tests; the identification test is commonly used for thin layer identification, at least half of the medicinal flavors need to formulate identification items, and the thin layer identification method needs to be verified in detail; the stability test of the preparation influencing factors needs to be carried out for up to 30 days.
After the training, everyone asked questions enthusiastically, including pilot batches and batches, extraction process screening and index inspection, entry inspection and stability inspection of medicinal pieces, etc. Professor Xia gave detailed answers and discussions.
This training was like a timely rain. The two and a half hours of learning time gave everyone a clear understanding of the pharmaceutical research focus and overall process of innovative Chinese medicines, improved everyone's understanding of pharmaceutical research of innovative Chinese medicines, and helped to further accelerate the research process of Chinese medicine projects.
